Hoops In The Sun, Inc. (H.I.T.S.)
Hoops In The Sun, Inc. (H.I.T.S.) is a 501 (c) (3) community-based basketball program held at Orchard Beach in Bronx, NY that provides a recreational activity for adults and youth and an entertainment activity for beach-going spectators of all ages. H.I.T.S. aspires to do more than just provide an opportunity for the community to be involved in sports. It provides an annual family-oriented summer-long event at an attractive venue in which members of diverse communities and various age groups can positively interact.
NBA
The NBA is the world's premier men's professional basketball league and one of the major professional sports leagues of North America. The league was founded in New York City on June 6, 1946 as the Basketball Association of America (BAA). The league adopted the name National Basketball Association in the fall of 1949 after merging with the rival National Basketball League. The league's several international and individual team offices are directed out its head offices located in the Olympic Tower at 645 Fifth Avenue in New York City. NBA Entertainment and NBA TV studios are directed out of offices located in Secaucus, New Jersey.
